Speaking during a press briefing, Leavitt emphasized the president\u2019s determination to secure a deal that protects American interests while restoring balance in the economic relationship between the two world powers. \u201cPresident Trump is optimistic,\u201d she stated. \u201cHe has made it clear that he is open to a deal\u2014but it has to be fair, enforceable, and beneficial to American workers and industries.\u201d<\/p>\n
