The Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase reported that the ‘text-only order’ was issued by the court due to their filed complaint.
The legal battle to provide consistency and clarity on the trading of digital cryptocurrency assets just grew more focused. The Third Circuit has finally responded to the complaint against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase Paul Grewal, who made the announcement on Thursday.
Coinbase Advances Toward Clarity
In relation to their filed case, the court, according to Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer, issued a “text-only order.” The US SEC has been given 10 days by the courts to respond to Coinbase’s writ of mandamus.
However, the petitioner, Coinbase, has seven days from the time of filing to submit a response to the commission’s statement. Paul Grewal said that they value the court’s thorough deliberation on this issue.
The timing of SEC’s completion of the necessary order will be crucial in the interim.
